Situation - The overall ad spends were very high, and the Ad ACOS (Advertising Cost of Sales) and TACOS(True Advertising Cost of Sales) both were considerably high. Wallets as a category was not contributing well to the overall revenue and had been stagnant for the last 10-12 months.
Objective
Increasing the overall account revenue, along with the revenue for wallets as a category and at the same time bringing down the Ad ACOS and TACOS.
Strategy
  • Extracting the business reports for the last 10 months and segregating it on the basis of category-wise revenue contribution.
  • Identifying potential wallet SKUs with good ratings, decent sales history and satisfactory conversion rates.
  • A detailed study of all paused and ongoing advertising campaigns for the last 6 months and identifying product categories where ad spends were high, but the revenue was low, which was severely affecting the profitability.
  • Using our experience of being hands-on with trusted Amazon tools, which were used to analyse the search volumes for generic keywords, which were effectively incorporated into the listings and campaigns, both.
  • Pausing all campaigns with an ACOS above a certain threshold, launching new campaigns (including remarketing) for the top selling and potential wallet SKUs and optimising existing campaigns with a decent performance level.
  • Proactively tracking daily sessions, ad spends, revenue and ACOS in a separate data sheet to ensure that there is daily monitoring and strategy implementation.
